We offer private music lessons in our store lesson room for students of guitar, bass, ukulele, and music theory.

Ukulele Lesson Rates: $20.00 (30 min lesson)
             $40.00 (60 min lesson)

Guitar Lesson Rates: $25.00 (30 min lesson)
            $45.00 (60 min lesson)

Guitar/Bass/Music Theory

Chris Foote is a musician (guitar/vocals/synth/percussion), songwriter, and producer for the Grand Rapids, MI-based band ars.nova. He teaches guitar, bass guitar, and music theory lessons for Beginner to Advanced students. He also offers combo guitar/music theory and bass guitar/music theory lessons.

Chris comes to us with 25 years guitar and music theory experience, including both personal and college-level study. He has also studied with one West Michigan's finest guitarists - Brian Morris of the Grand Rapids Guitar Quartet - and has studied music theory and composition with Dr. Carol VanRandwyk, author of the music theory text book Essentials of Species Counterpoint.

Lessons will include techniques and ideas from Rock, Blues, Pop, Classical, Jazz and more. Lessons will also be tailored to the specific styles and genres the student is looking to learn. Chris will take your playing and theory to the next level. He offers lessons on Thursdays & Fridays.

Bill Richards first got started in the arts in the mid 1970's  While in High School he won several awards both in art and music.  During the mid-late 80's Mr. Richards attended Western Kentucky University where he took several advanced art classes before enlisting in the US Army in 1989.  

Mr. Richards was stationed at Fort Stewart, GA  with the 24th ID(M) when he was deployed in Desert Shield/Storm.  

After getting out of the service in 1992 Mr. Richards played in several bands through out the United States.

In 2016 - Mr. Richards won a Gold Medal finalist with the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival playing the guitar

2017 - Mr. Richards was recognized as a Veteran of Influence in Art/ Music by the City of Grand Rapids

2018 - Mr. Richards was again awarded a Gold Medal and a finalist in the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival playing the 5-string banjo

2018 Mr. Richards formed the Veterans Creative Arts program where Veterans teach other veterans Creative Arts for an alternative method of battling PTSD.
